Not a particularly good first night's sleep - the fridge made enough noise to wake the dead and a bright red light suddenly started flashing on the electrics box!!! we got up at 7am ( unheard of on holiday)and Jon cooked us bacon butties - heaven!
We were very domesticated and did the washing that had been piling up and then took off towards Port McQuarie
Stopped at Seal Rocks and watched the surfers and collected some fab driftwood pieces that I have an idea for some jewellery when I get back.
We made lunch in the van and stopped to eat at Laurieton overlooking the river.
Finally stopped at Lighthouse Beach Caravan Park and we had another barbie and a few drinks, whilst discussing our plans for the next day.
We had our first kangaroo sighting today - very exciting, but still no koalas despite plenty of signs saying they are around ( Jon has promised to take me tomorrow to see some!!)
