Picked up at Hotel at 9.30am and taken to airport for 1.30 flight with singapore airlines - lovely plane and lovely wine !!
Our pick up at the airport was a bit delayed but we were soon on our way and settled at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel in Singapore.
We had a quick shower and set off for Raffles Hotel ( both Jon and I had agreed that it had to be done!) It's a fantastic old colonial style building and true to all the adverts we had a Singapore Sling in The Long Bar, ate peanuts and chucked the shells on the floor to join hundreds of others.
Another souvenir bought in the shop and we were on our way back to the hotel for dinner.
The rear terrace is right on the river and a brilliant place to down a few drinks and watch the world go by.
Tomorrow we are meeting up with some singapore friends we met in the Maldives 2 years ago - hope I recognise them!
